SUBJECT : Duplexing With IBM Disk Controllers
DATE : 6/13/90
OS VERSION : 286 and 386
REVISION :
SHELL VERSION : All
GENERAL INFORMATION : According to Engineering you can not currently mix and
match different types of controllers in a PS/2 fileserver. Such as put a MFM
and an ESDI controller in the same machine and expect to duplex. Also you
cannot duplex MFM with MFM or ESDI with ESDI. This is true with both 286 and
386 NetWare. The reason is that they will not share interrupts.
However the IBM SCSI controller has the capability to be duplexed with another
IBM SCSI controller.
